Duisburg, May 21, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 On May 20, 2025, the fourth edition of the FUTURE LOGISTICS innovation trade fair took place at the Museum of German Inland Navigation in Duisburg. Nearly 300 participants came together to exchange ideas about the latest technological developments in logistics amid historic ships. This year’s theme: Automation & Robotics \u2013 with a special focus on the internationalization of the logistics industry. <\/p> The trade fair was organized by startport GmbH, the innovation platform of the Port of Duisburg (duisport). The goal is to connect startups with companies, investors, and research institutions and bring innovations into logistics practice. <\/p> A Strong Signal for Internationalization<\/strong><\/p> A particular highlight of this year’s trade fair was the newly introduced International Special Exhibition on the museum’s upper floor. Here, startups from Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Turkey presented innovative solutions for automation, AI, and process optimization. <\/p> The exhibition was complemented by a strong, partially English-language stage program that underscored the international character of the event \u2013 including the panel discussion “Crossing Borders: International Startups and the German Market.”<\/p> Keynotes, Panels, and Podcast<\/strong><\/p> The main stage also focused entirely on the future of logistics. Participants could look forward to:<\/p> \u2022 the keynote by Michal Hendel-Sufa (Principal, theDOCK) on global innovation dynamics,<\/p> \u2022 a high-caliber panel with Victor Kaupe (BASF) and Holger Schneebeck (DHL),<\/p> \u2022 the live podcast “Felgendreher & Friends” with Knut Alicke (McKinsey), Erik Wirsing (DB Schenker), and Frank Vorrath (Danfoss),<\/p> \u2022 as well as practical success stories, such as the implementation of motion-mining technology at avitea Industrieservice.<\/p> Startup Guided Tours, Matchmaking, and Networking with Ice Cream<\/strong><\/p> Another highlight was the Startup Guided Tours, held three times daily, featuring live pitches, Q&A sessions, and topic-specific focuses.
